Whether you’re a fan of salsa, bachata, hip-hop, rock, or tango, you’ll find workshops to suit your interests. Each year, the festival welcomes renowned figures from the international dance scene. These professionals share their expertise through masterclasses, demonstrations, and live performances, providing a unique opportunity to learn from the best and be inspired by their talent. Beyond the classes and shows, the festival is also a place for meeting and sharing. Dance parties and the central guinguette allow participants to connect and interact in a friendly and festive atmosphere. It’s the perfect chance to make new friends, exchange experiences, and share a passion for dance.

Avoriaz Dance Festival returns for its 14th edition from August 24th to August 30th, 2024!

Come and participate in the 14th edition of the Avoriaz Dance Festival. On the program: Unlimited classes every day, suitable for all levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Confirmed Advanced), in a beautiful setting, in the heart of the mountains! Every evening of the week, themed parties and shows are offered for you to practice what you’ve learned during the day!

This year, we have the privilege of welcoming Denitsa Ikonomova and Maxime Dereymez. They will come to teach two classes on Thursday, August 29th, and then perform a demonstration the same evening.

For this edition:

  • Every day, dance from 8 am to 1 am or 2 am non-stop, with breaks every two hours of classes and a lunch break integrated into the schedule.
  • Over 35 classes/day + 8 disciplines + Practical classes + Pre-parties + Parties + Shows
  • More than 50 Teachers and Deejays.
  • All beginner-intermediate classes are offered in double sessions.
  • Tents for parties: Salsa / Bachata – Kizomba – Rock / Swing – WCS – Argentine Tango.
  • An outdoor terrace arranged between the tents to provide a friendly meeting place.
  • This year, the Avoriaz Dance Festival renews its partnership with the French Dance Federation.

The French Dance Federation

As the leading federation for dance in France, the French Dance Federation (FFDanse) has been accompanying, developing, and supporting dance in all its forms throughout the French territory since 1969.

The FFDanse offers its members a multitude of dance practices:

  • Classical (ballet), jazz, and contemporary dances,
  • Hip-hop and urban dances, including breaking,
  • Couple dances: ballroom dances (tango, waltz, musette, …),
  • Latin and standard dances, rock’n’roll and swing dances, salsa, bachata, kizomba, historical dance, …

The French Dance Federation

Raca Danse

The RACA Dance Family, established in 1984, is a dance school renowned for its instruction in partner and solo dances. From weekly classes to workshops, team competition training, and the organization of international championships, the club has also produced shows at the sports park and Bonlieu theater in Annecy.

For several years, the RACA Dance Family has also been organizing dance trips abroad, and the Avoriaz Tourist Office has entrusted them with the artistic organization of the Avoriaz Dance Festival.

Dancing with the Stars

After Fauve Hautot in 2023, we are fortunate to welcome Denitsa Ikonomova and Maxime Dereymez from the famous show “Dancing with the Stars”. In addition to being the festival’s patrons:

  • Denitsa, accompanied by Maxime, will offer a Jive workshop, and this class will be practiced solo.
  • Maxime, accompanied by Denitsa, will offer a Salsa workshop, practiced in pairs.

Don’t miss their demonstration during the Thursday evening alongside the other instructors.
