Discover our heavenly little spots

We don’t mind sharing our secrets with you. Take your family to discover these little pieces of paradise and we guarantee your children won’t spend their holiday glued to their device screens.

Discover the LIL’STASH and Shreddie’s tree huts. This is the perfect spot for a picnic and you’ll find 2 gas barbecues at your disposal, as well as rope bridges, a slide, ropes, sculptures and play features hidden in the middle of Proclou Forest.

The Lil’Stash is an enchanted forest where little Shreddie likes to hide.

  • So who’s Shreddie?

Shreddie began his life as a tiny fir tree and is now the mascot of our forest. Part beaver, part yeti and part gorilla, he uses his powerful jaw to cut down trees to make the modules and cabins that you can see in the forests of Avoriaz.

  • What’s his favourite food?

Shreddie only eats fruits and vegetables found in the forest. He loves blueberries, and uses them to make jam for the winter season. He has tried fir-cone tart, but had trouble digesting it. Despite being a vegetarian, Shreddie often turns up at Lil’Stash barbecues to sprinkle your grilled sausages with an elixir of pine that only he knows how to make.

  • How old is Shreddie?

Shreddie celebrated his 10th birthday in February 2018 when all his friends came to a big party in Lil’Stash.

  • What’s his favourite pastime?

Shreddie is a fabulous snowboarder in winter and loves mountain biking in summer. He’s the one who comes up with all those strange module names like Whoop, Box, Rail, Wall and so on.

While out on a family walk, stop to visit Séraussaix Farm.

You’ll find it in the mountain pastures of Séraussaix, on the road to Avoriaz. The farm is active all year round. In summer, the different herds graze in the mountains. In winter, the cows stay in the warmth of the barn where they feed on fodder produced during the summer months.

Let the 3 enthusiastic farmers be your guides. They’ll tell you all about Séraussaix Farm, an educational farm like no other. During your visit you’ll see the animals and the cheese cellars, and learn about the different stages of the cheesemaking process. Our 3 hosts have obtained the AOP label (PDO) for their Reblochon and Abondance cheeses.

Visits to the farm are organized every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10am. Discover the animals of the farm and the making of the cheese followed by a tasting of the products of the farm.
Information and registration at the Tourist Office.

You’ll be delighted by the population of goats that roam free here all summer long. The goat village in the Lindarets valley is easy to reach by road, on foot or by bike.

In this small village you’ll find dozens and dozens of goats wandering at liberty. They belong to a Morzine goatherd who, as soon as they reach 3 months, takes them up the mountain to graze in the fresh air at an elevation of 1,500 metres. This is their home!

The village of Les Lindarets is probably your best choice if you’re looking for an authentic adventure in a mountain hamlet of typical Savoie-style chalets!

*In winter, these narrow streets in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area are transformed into snow-covered slopes where skiers stop to enjoy the warm atmosphere of the restaurants.

Why not visit the Brochaux Waterfall, a place where time stands still…?

This short hike takes you discovering the fauna and flora of Avoriaz. You’ll reach the waterfall on a footpath and a succession of small wooden bridges.

From the Avoriaz plateau, take the ski slope that leads to to the Lindarets ridge.
Take the Lindarets chairlift down the mountain, then walk up to the Léchère chairlift on the right and, a little further on to the left, follow a riverbank footpath through the woods (signs to « Cascade des Brochaux »).

The waterfall (1,692 metres) is a good place to stop for a picnic, or for lunch at the Abricotine mountain refuge. Return to your itinerary via the flat path signposted « La Lécherette », which will take you 10 minutes.
