The Trail des Hauts-Forts Morzine-Avoriaz is back for the 18th edition. The programme includes 4 races on the most beautiful trails in the Portes du Soleil !
The 50km Hauts-Forts trail, the 40km Fornet trail, the 23km Mines-d'or trail and the 22 and 28km Contre-Bandiers Relays.
The 4 races of the Trail des Hauts Forts are all ITRA point earners and are also on the UTMB® WORLD SERIES QUALIFIERS list !
Held every summer in Morzine-Avoriaz, this trail race offers a unique experience in the heart of the breathtaking landscapes of the Alps. The Trail des Hauts-Forts is an epic event featuring several race formats designed to suit all levels, from beginners to expert runners. 4 trails in the most beautiful spots of the Portes du Soleil:
- The 52km Hauts-Forts trail, D+3850, 3 ITRA points, Mountain points: 9
- The trail du Fornet of 36km, D+2820, 2 ITRA points, Mountain points : 9
- The 23km trail des Mines-d’or, D+1850, 1 ITRA point, Mountain points: 9
- The relay of Contre-Bandiers of 22 and 28km, D+1805 / D+2015, 2 ITRA points / 1 ITRA point, Mountain points : 8 / 9
The 4 races are registered on the UTMB® WORLD SERIES QUALIFIERS list !
The Trail des Hauts-Forts is:
- A difficult, challenging and technical course with a high altitude difference (between 1900 and 3800m).
- A mountain race linking Morzine to Avoriaz which takes you through the most beautiful panoramas of the Portes du Soleil
- A special feature! The race is self-sufficient in food. A food pack will be given with the race number. Refreshments will be liquid only.

Children’s Race – Sunday 9 August
As part of the Trail des Hauts-Forts, we are delighted to organise races specially designed for children and their parents, with three routes to choose from:
- Blue course: 800 metres through the resort.
- Red course: 1,200 metres through the resort.
- Black course: 2,150 metres through the resort.
Meet us at the outdoor Forum from 3:00 pm to register. The first race will start at 4:00 pm.
There will be no winners, rankings or timing for these races. The aim is simply to have fun and enjoy a friendly moment together! We hope to see many of you for this fun and active afternoon!
