What can you do in Avoriaz when it rains in summer?
During a mountain holiday, rain, fog or a thunderstorm may occasionally disrupt your plans for the day. But that does not mean you have to stay in your apartment!
Whether you are staying in Avoriaz with family, friends or as a couple, the resort offers plenty of ways to continue making the most of your holiday. Sports activities, immersive experiences, swimming, cinema, bowling, restaurants and relaxing moments can turn a rainy day into a new adventure.

Aquariaz, the perfect retreat
When the weather takes a turn for the worse, Aquariaz is the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon. This welcoming aquatic centre promises unforgettable moments for the whole family. Enjoy a refreshing and entertaining break in a spectacular setting, 1,800 metres above sea level.
Designed for all ages, Aquariaz offers a complete aquatic experience, including a gently flowing river, play areas, waterslides, a paddling pool and a heated outdoor hot tub.
On days with poor weather, Aquariaz opens 30 minutes earlier to welcome visitors looking for warmth and relaxation.
Prices: €12 for adults, €11 for seniors, €8 for children aged 3 to 11, and free admission for children aged 0 to 2.
Admission is free with the Multi Pass. Please make sure children aged 3 to 5 also have their own Multi Pass to benefit from free entry; otherwise, admission must be paid.
No booking is required. Simply go directly to reception to enjoy this unique relaxing experience.
We recommend checking the real-time visitor numbers before your visit. Aquariaz is particularly popular during the summer season and may reach full capacity at certain times.
Avo'Drift
Discover a unique activity in Avoriaz with Avo’Drift: an indoor electric drift-karting experience set in an underground car park transformed into a vibrant illuminated arena. Neon lights, an underground atmosphere, technical turns and thrilling slides… here, you do not simply drive, you drift!
Get behind the wheel of electric karts specially designed for drifting, featuring one front wheel and two rear wheels built for sliding. Take on the bends, swing out the rear and challenge your friends on a fun course accessible to everyone. Helmets and gloves can be provided if required.
Avo’Drift is located on level -1 of the Plateau car park, accessible via the red or yellow platform. Sessions last between 8 and 10 minutes.
Prices: €15 per driver, or €13.50 with the Multi Pass, including a 10% discount. Group, corporate, seminar and seasonal-worker rates are available on request.
Time to get active!
For sports enthusiasts, the Squash & Bloc room welcomes you for sports challenges away from the elements. Whether you want to play squash or try out bouldering, this space is perfect for staying active even when the weather isn’t favorable.
On bad weather days, the Squash & Bloc room opens its doors a bit earlier, allowing you to make the most of your sporty day from the morning.

A little further in the resort, you’ll find Altiforme, a gym offering a range of group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, and Qi Gong. Check the weekly schedule on the Altiforme page or in the weekly program.
Dive into augmented reality
Looking for an innovative experience? HADO e-sport is the perfect activity for enjoying a fun time with family or friends.
HADO is a game in which two teams of up to three players compete by launching energy balls. The aim is to hit your opponents while dodging their shots. Wearing a headset and wrist sensor fully immerses players in this virtual world. You can also team up against the computer for an extra challenge.
Bowling and arcade games
On rainy days, Strike Roc Bowling is the perfect place to spend time with family or friends. Located in the heart of the resort, this bowling alley offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for indoor fun.
With several modern lanes, a wide range of arcade games and a relaxation area, you can challenge each other to a game of bowling while enjoying the drinks and snacks available on site.
It is an ideal activity for staying active and having fun while sheltered from the weather.
Relax and unwind
For a relaxing break, Avoriaz’s spas and wellness centres offer the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries. Enjoy saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and massages to fully unwind.
