2 options for your children

Right in the heart of Avoriaz! ESF Avoriaz welcomes children from an early age, offering a fun, safe first experience in the snow, tailored to their pace.

Two childcare options are available: Avrizou nursery and the Village des Enfants. Each offers an age-appropriate setting with professional supervision, catering to your child’s needs so they can make the most of the mountains.

Throughout the winter season, Avrizou nursery welcomes children aged 6 months to 3 years, from Sunday to Friday, in an environment tailored to their needs. Approved by the French maternal and child health service (PMI) and managed by ESF Avoriaz, it offers stimulating activities supervised by early years professionals, respecting each child’s age and individual pace.

Packages include 6 half-days or full days, with or without meals, starting from €349.

Children are welcomed in the morning from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and/or in the afternoon from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

For their comfort, children aged 6 to 15 months may only attend half-day sessions, either in the morning or the afternoon.

To prepare for your child’s visit, please ensure their mandatory vaccinations are up to date, as required by the nursery’s rules, and bring identification for the accompanying adults. Pack a complete change of clothes, nappies and a nappy-changing product, their comfort toy and dummy, and a sleeping bag if needed. Please also provide a morning snack if required and an afternoon snack, except for the full-day package. For outdoor activities, a complete set of snow clothing is essential: a snowsuit, gloves, hat, sunglasses, scarf, waterproof boots and sunscreen.

Advance booking via the online form is essential, as places are limited. Requests are processed in the order they are received, and the team will contact you to finalise your booking. No dedicated telephone service is available before the start of the season.

The Village des Enfants welcomes children and teenagers aged 3 to 16 to discover the joys of snow and develop their skills at their own pace, in groups suited to their age and ability.

From ages 3 to 5, little ones enjoy their first experiences of sliding on snow in a safe, specially designed area, supported by qualified activity leaders. Snow games and activities let them explore the mountains while having fun. Supervised meals and an optional activity programme are also available to extend their day at a gentle pace. At age 4, your child can get their first taste of snow sports at the Village des Enfants or take ski lessons with an ESF instructor.

From ages 5 to 16, children and teenagers enjoy ski lessons out on the slopes, in groups suited to their age and ability. Children aged 8 to 12 can also learn to snowboard or develop their skills in group lessons at the Village. Qualified ESF instructors and activity leaders provide supervision. Supervised meals are available as an optional extra, along with an activity programme at the Village for children aged 5 to 12.

For snowboarding, children under 8 can only learn through private lessons. Those aged 8 to 12 can join group lessons at the Village des Enfants, while group lessons for ages 13 and over are offered by ESF Avoriaz.
