They pace up and down the main street, regulate the traffic, strike a pose for pictures and claim
for rewards : sweets the visitors can buy on site.

The history of the village

In the 30’s, almost 900 bovines stayed here for the 3 months the summer with 200 goats and a hundred of horses.
At that time, 30 chalets sheltered the shepherds’ families for the summer : a school was even created !

In the 50’s, it was transformed into bars and restaurants, these chalets still gives a precise idea of what was the Alpine architecture with wooden chalets covered with travaillons wood.

A place for all ages

It’s an unavoidable place of the region and a unique experience for both kids and their parents !

Around forty goats pace up and down the alleys and claim for affection.

The shops sell little paper bags filled with food made for goats. You shall know that they are really greedy and ready to do anything to catch what’s in these bags 😉
