Avoriaz Common Line

The Common Line - Avoriaz

The Common Line is a project imagined by Lucas Beaufort. It’s a global journey at the crossroads of art, snowboarding, and community. Its mission is to revive the raw and untamed spirit of snowboarding, free from competition and ego, and to reconnect with its collective and creative soul. From Whistler to Levi, passing through Laax, Avoriaz, Mayrhofen, Oslo, Asahikawa, and Nanshan, the project stops in some of the most iconic snowboarding destinations. At every stop, the local community, brands, and independent shops are invited to connect, ride, and celebrate together. Each weekend unfolds in two parts. On Saturday evening, a roundtable brings together the snowboard industry, riders, shops, and the public around key questions: Why do we do this? What comes next? How can we make snowboarding more accessible to everyone? The evening continues with an art exhibition, where artists paint on new boards, later sold to benefit the local shop. On Sunday, it’s all about the collective ride: testing partner boards, park sessions, and the signature Cash for Tricks event presented by D_B. No judges, no podium, just style and fun. Throughout the journey, The Common Line will also host film screenings, open discussions, and moments of sharing with local communities — to inspire, question, and nurture snowboard culture. Supported by leading brands (Ride, Salomon, Capita, Burton, Nitro, K2, Union, Rome, Korua, Bataleon, Lib Tech, and many more), the project stands for a return to the essentials: - Giving back to the community - Supporting brick-and-mortar shops - Celebrating snowboarding in its purest form: free, creative, and collective

The CommonLine

Two days dedicated to snowboarding, sharing and community.

Day 1 – Round Table & Art Exhibition

THE COMMON LINE brings together key players from the snowboard industry for an open discussion accessible to everyone. Brands, shops, riders and enthusiasts come together to talk about the future of snowboarding: how to help it evolve, make it more accessible, and keep its culture alive.

After the round table, it’s time for creativity: artists will customize brand-new snowboards and gear.

Several boards will be raffled off, and 100% of the funds raised will be donated to the local shop to support independent retailers and the local community.

Day 2 – Ride with the Locals & Park Jam

A full day on the mountain to ride, share and connect. Local riders will show you their playground, and everyone is welcome to join the session.
In the afternoon, head to the Arare snowpark for a Cash for Tricks.

No judges, no pressure ! Only style, creativity and fun matter.

A moment to celebrate snowboarding in its purest form: fun, spontaneous and open to all.
