30 years of Absolu Sports
In 2026, Absolu Sports will celebrate 30 years of existence in the heart of the Avoriaz resort. Thirty years of history, passion for the mountains and close ties with holidaymakers, seasonal workers and locals who bring the resort to life. Since 1996, Christian and Carine Pollien, founders of the shop, have created much more than just a sports shop: it has become an essential meeting place for all winter sports enthusiasts.

For the 2025 winter season, Absolu Sports is innovating in its workshop!
To further improve the quality of its rental fleet, the company has invested in the Wintersteiger Omega SBI, a high-end machine dedicated to ski and snowboard maintenance.
The Omega SBI :
The Omega SBI combines two essential processes: stone grinding and belt sanding.
Thanks to its touchscreen interface and customizable programs, it ensures optimal precision and consistent preparation for all types of equipment — alpine skis, freeride, touring skis, snowboards, and cross-country skis.
Compact and efficient, this machine operates without a pneumatic system, offering significant time and performance gains for the workshop.
In practical terms, this means that customers’ equipment is prepared under the best possible conditions, whatever the snow conditions in Avoriaz.
