Snow Safety Session by Mammut

Snow Safety Session by Mammut

Come and put into practice, directly in the field, all the essential techniques needed to move safely and confidently in the mountains. This training day is open to all levels and is designed for anyone wishing to better understand the winter mountain environment and improve their safety skills. Mountain safety is a fundamental aspect of fully enjoying winter activities. This practical training course will teach you how to efficiently use your avalanche safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel), or help you deepen your existing knowledge. The goal is to enable you to go skiing with confidence, develop the right reflexes and improve your ability to assess risk situations. The day is led by a professional high mountain guide who will accompany you throughout the training. Thanks to their expertise, you will receive practical advice adapted to the terrain and weather conditions, as well as clear answers to all your questions. Exchanges and discussions are at the heart of the workshop, encouraging a clear and progressive understanding of safety issues in snowy mountain environments. During the workshop, you will learn how to carry out an effective avalanche transceiver search, understand the different stages of an avalanche rescue, improve shovelling efficiency, and adopt the correct behaviours before, during and after a mountain outing. This hands-on approach helps you better integrate essential techniques and become more efficient in real-life situations. This workshop will also help you gain a better understanding of the winter mountain environment, its specific characteristics and constraints, allowing you to set off on your winter adventures with greater confidence and autonomy.
