A day For Jake
A day for Jake is a day to celebrate snowboarding!
All snowboarders are invited to meet in Avoriaz at 11 a.m. at the top of the Stash (Lindarets sector) for a few descents together!
To celebrate Jake Burton’s spirit of sharing, the Maison des Enfants association & the Afghan Snowboard team come together to introduce snowboarding to young people in difficulty, so that our passion continues to transform lives, again and again.
Snowboarding has the power to empower, inspire, and foster authentic connections.
Join us in a social initiative that promotes diversity and inclusion through snowboarding.
The story of Victor Daviet, a French snowboarder, has inspired our project. He helped a group of Afghan snowboarders find refuge in Annecy after the Taliban invasion. Their stories, shared by Les Others and Arte, symbolize resilience, hope, and community, thanks to snowboarding.
Now, we want to pass on this inspiration to another community. In Annecy, the youth of La Maison des Enfants (MDE) need support and inspiration. We want to offer them a day of snowboarding discovery, sharing, and learning. With the participation of the Chill Foundation and the Yambi association, we will organize an unforgettable day for 10 teenagers, boys and girls.
Your support will enable us to broaden our horizons and inspire more young people through snowboarding.
