The Portes du Soleil park offers a wide choice of walks and a huge diversity of landscapes, alternating mountain ridges and passes, forests and alpine pastures, with views of Mont Blanc and the Dents du Midi. More than 40 walking itineraries criss-cross these mountains, to the delight of hikers and nature-lovers keen to explore the vast open spaces and observe the local wildlife and the lakes, waterfalls and streams.

Less than a 30-minute walk from Avoriaz, you might be tempted to visit a mountain farm or take a picnic to the Brochaux waterfall, bathe in Montriond lake, enjoy a snack at the goat village of Lindarets, or sip on a glass of "fondant" in a mountain village of typical Swiss chalets...

Avoriaz enjoys a choice high-altitude location with direct access to a number of itineraries for walkers and snowshoers and to the chairlifts which will take you to the Portes du Soleil mountain sports area. Our guides offer all kinds of options, for individual and group accompaniment. You can opt for a theme hike to discover life in the mountains or the Alpine wildlife, or you can hike for a full day to reach those more remote places and discover the mountains' hidden gems. There's something to delight every hiker!
