A NEW ICE SKATING RINK IN DECEMBER 2011

In December we are opening a brand new skating rink right in the heart of the pedestrianised resort.The 450m2 rink is somewhere both children and adults can come to enjoy ice skating in magical surroundings to the sound of soft, stirring music.The skating rink will be floodlit and open every day until 8 p.m. Parents and grandparents will be able to relax on the overlooking terraces, watching their little ones having fun while they enjoy a glass of mulled wine or cup of hot chocolate.
AQUARIAZ, A UNIQUE CONCEPT IN MOUNTAIN WATER PARKS IN JULY 2012

In May 2011 work began on building Aquariaz, the largest water park ever to be built in the mountains and designed by the people at Center Parcs.Aquariaz has been designed as an aquatic paradise in the mountains featuring lush vegetation and rocks: a river with variable gentle current, a slidewinder (a kind of aquatic halfpipe), a water playhouse, a paddling pool, a large pool with climbing walls, massage benches and the must: an open-air spa heated to 34°C surrounded by snow! This type of water park is found nowhere else in the mountains and features a 'hybrid' concept with natural tropical vegetation in mountain surroundings. Aquariaz will open in July 2012.
A NEW CABLE CAR IN DECEMBER 2012
In July 2011 work began on the construction of a new '3 S' cable car to replace the existing one, which will transport visitors and skiers up from the Prodains Valley at Morzine in greater comfort.The top terminal will be buried to enable better organisation of the surface flow of pedestrians and skiers on to Place Jean Vuarnet in Avoriaz.The new cable car will have 12 cabins, each with a capacity of 35, and so will be able to carry between 2,000 and 2,400 people per hour.

NEW CAR PARKS IN DECEMBER 2011
Avoriaz is opening a new 800-space covered car park at the resort entrance plus a new 204-space car park underneath the new holiday residences in the Amara district.
A NEW RECEPTION BAY
Next December, Avoriaz is getting a new reception and unloading bay that provides modern and comfortable facilities under cover. Vehicles will be able to park temporarily in a large covered parking
area while they unload their luggage. Once the car has been parked in the car park, all the family can take a horse-drawn taxi, chat to the driver about the horse and travel to their accommodation in style… to the sound of sleigh bells. It's then that they'll know their holiday has started!
